I just got the news that our house in Missouri closed this afternoon. It is no longer our home, it now belongs to a new family. That comes with mixed emotions, but for the most part we are thrilled. I still stand amazed that it sold that fast (Oh me of little faith). Thank you all for you prayers and support threw this transition in our lives.

Our Baby is 5

Today our Son Trenton turned 5. It doesn't seem possible, but it's true. We started a tradition a few years ago that the Birthday Boy or Girl gets to pick whatever they want for their Birthday dinner. Trenton choose Pancakes, eggs and Bacon.
This afternoon I took Trenton with me so he can help me shop for his special meal. I think he had great time picking out his own food without any ones opinions - it was all up to him. Thankfully this only happens once a year :)
Papa and Nana got Trenton a scooter for his Birthday. The only problem was the scooter was pink. Of Coarse Papa fixed that right away and replaced the pink scooter with a black scooter. Trenton was tickled pink (hahahah!)

Catching up!

Last night I got together with two of my closest friends (Steph & Monique) from back in my teen years. We went to a yummy Chinese restaurant in River Park and then went and hung out at Steph's house. We had a lot to catch up on so we talked for a long time. I would have stayed longer but my body was yelling at me "GO TO BED!!!" ....I'm such an Old Foggy. Anyway I had a great time. We have promised each other to do that once a month. I look forward to November.

Making an appointment

My Sister Sara and her Hubby Jason are CRAZY BUSY! They both work full time (Jason works like 900 jobs wich equals fulltime work :), Jason also stays busy as Youth Pastor of CCF (Sara helps when she can), and now they are both back in collage. That makes for a very tight schedule and little time for anything or anyone else. This can causes John and I to cry at times...well.... not really but we do miss them. Anyway, instead of complaining about the situation I realized that we need to make an effort to spend time with them. The door swings both ways ya know. So I made an appointment with my Sister for lunch. John has Thursdays off so we made the appointment for this Thursday - lunch at the park. I packed us all lunches, the kids grabbed their scouters, John grabbed the blanket and off we went to meet Uncle Jason & Aunt Sara at the park. We had a great time! Around 1ish Mom drove by and joined us. We all enjoyed a great lunch, beautiful weather, a game of Duck Duck goose and the best fellowship anyone could ask for. I'm glad I made that appointment instead of just complaining about not seeing them.
